Spring City

Spring City is a historic treasure, surrounded by sheep pastures, beloved climbing spots, and a vibrant artist colony of painters. It’s one of only two U.S. cities designated as a National Historic District, alongside Williamsburg, Virginia, and was named one of Forbes' prettiest towns in America!

Settled in 1852, Spring City quickly became known as “Little Denmark” due to a large population of Danish immigrants. One of its settlers, Judge Jacob Johnson, built the Victorian home and stone barns you'll see on our wedding day, evoking the feel of his European home. Johnson would go on to serve in Congress, but one of the home’s most interesting stories involves a visit from the infamous outlaw Butch Cassidy!
